Global investment firm SkyBridge Capital is launching a new Bitcoin fund designed to provide wealthy investors with an institutional-grade way to add crypto to their portfolios, according to a recent announcement.

SkyBridge initiated a position valued at $310 million in funds investing in Bitcoin during November and December 2020. SkyBridge and its affiliates have invested $25.3 million in the fund to kickstart its launch. Fidelity will custody the crypto and Ernst & Young will audit the fund.

Troy Gayeski, SkyBridge Co-Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager, stated that SkyBridge's investment team has gained enthusiasm surrounding Bitcoin as a portfolio diversifier and return generator.
