Former Real Madrid, APOEL, and Real Gijon striker David Barral completed the world's first transfer via cryptocurrency, as reported by Sport, a local media from Spanish.

Barral moved to Dux Internacional de Madrid (Segunda División B). The amount and the type of crypto assets during the transaction have not been disclosed. DUX club stated in a tweet that thanks to the crypto company Criptan, the transfer of Barral was "possible".
