On Tuesday, January 19 the Yearn Finance 'BABY' proposal which had sparked controversy in the community surrounding incentivization and fair product launches has been passed with 99.44% in support, according to a recent tweet from Yearn core developer banteg.

BABY is a nickname for the Buyback and Build program which would submit protocol fees towards the Yearn treasury. The proposal would alter the current system which distributes dividends to governance participants. The supporters of the proposal argue that Yearn.Finance is too young to be paying out dividends and that expanding the treasury will allow for the community to grow.
