Kristen Stone, the former product manager of Coinbase, announced on Medium that she will join Balancer, a decentralized trading protocol. She will serve as the COO of Balancer Labs.

Kristen said that she chose to join Balancer because she believes that Fernando Martinelli, the co-founder and CEO of Balancer Labs, and the entire team care about creating a "human-oriented" organization while ambitiously driving forward a product she believes in. She said that her role as COO of Balancer Labs covers a large area, but her core commitment is to ensure the well-being of Balancer’s ecosystem. “Together with this community, I plan to discover, design, and open-source common practices to bring a new paradigm of organizational processes to crypto protocols."

Kristen Stone joined Coinbase in September 2014 and served successively as the head of financial institution partnership, project manager, and product manager. She left in April 2019.
