"Policymakers should be on the side of innovation and ingenuity, which are vital to American competitiveness. I hope others in US govt join me," McHenry wrote.
The next day, Emmer retweeted the message adding a link to Bitcoin's white paper. Emmer has a record of supporting cryptocurrencies as a member of the Congressional Blockchain Caucus. Additionally, last year Emmer announced that he would accept crypto donations for his campaign.
