The trading volume of the Bitcoin futures market sets a record high in January with $2.9 trillion, according to The Block. It is also a significant jump over the previous month's figure: $993.8 billion.

Among them, Binance's trading volume accounted for the largest share at 30%, followed by Huobi with 23.8% trading volume and OKEx with 16.9% trading volume.

Bitcoin options trading volume also sits at $27.93 billion in January - the highest monthly value. Deribit's transaction volume was $25.8 billion, accounting for 92.4%, followed by OKEx's 5.1% and CME's 1.9%.
