SCB 10X, the venture capital arm of Siam Commercial Bank, a traditional Thai bank, announced that it has launched a $50 million blockchain fund, aiming to invest in blockchain, digital assets, and DeFi startups.

SCB 10X has previously invested in Ripple, BlockFi, and DeFi platform Alpha Finance. Chief Venture Capital Officer Mukaya Panich said that blockchain-based financial services have the potential to promote the development of inclusive finance, achieve open access and encourage fintech innovation.
