Bitcoiner, Former Head Of Digital Assets For TD Ameritrade Joins The Fed As CIO

The Richmond Federal Reserve Bank, one of the 13 Federal Reserve Banks in the United States, announced that it has appointed Sunayna Tuteja, the former head of digital assets at TD Ameritrade, as chief innovation officer. 

The appointment takes effect on February 22. In her new position, she will "lead efforts to identify, research, enable and advocate for new technologies while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and experimentation.”

Tuteja is an early supporter of Bitcoin, she has worked for TD Ameritrade, a brokerage firm that offers crypto trading services, since 2014. Tuteja once stated in an interview with Blockworks that she has been a "Bitcoiner" since 2011, and said on Twitter last December that she admires the Bitcoin community.
