In response to the "extreme risk" when investing in cryptocurrencies or digital assets, New York Attorney General Letitia James today issued alerts to both industry members and investors.

James said: "We're sending a clear message to the entire industry that you either play by the rules or we will shut you down."

James also emphasized industry members who are obligated to register but fail to register will be subject to civil and criminal enforcement.
