Beeple believes that holding U.S. dollars is more secure than cryptocurrencies.

The NFT work "Everydays: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS" was sold at Christie's auction house for a record US$69.3 million on March 11.

The famous digital artist told The New Yorker that after receiving the NFT proceeds (after deducting auction fees and taxes), he was "spooked" by the fluctuation of ETH and immediately converted all ETH into U.S. dollars.

"53 million dollars in my account. Like, what the fuck,” Beeple said, "I’m not remotely a crypto-purist. I was making digital art long before any of this shit, and if all this fucking NFT stuff went away tomorrow I would still be making digital art. "
