The first NFT digital work of the Internet celebrity robot Sophia sold for US$688,888. Sophia is a humanoid robot developed by Hanson Robotics in Hong Kong in 2016. This digital work named "Sophia Instantiation" is a 12-second MP4 file that shows the evolution of Bonaceto’s portrait into Sofia’s digital painting, accompanied by a printed physical work of Sofia's self-portrait. This auction is also the first auction sale of this type of work collaboratively created by artificial intelligence.
