The popular privacy-focused chat app Signal announced that it added support for the privacy payment network MobileCoin

MobileCoin has its native token MOB. Signal Payments can easily link MobileCoin wallets to Signal, providing an easy way for users to send/receive funds, track balances, and view transaction records.

The design of MobileCoin means that the Signal app does not access the user's balance, transaction history, or funds. At present, the payment function is only available for users in the UK, and only for iOS and Android. Signal plans to expand it to more regions in the future.
