Decentralized financing platform Gitcoin announced that it has raised $11.3 million in funds led by Paradigm, IDEO, 1kx, Electric Capital, Naval, Balaji, The LAO, MetaCartel Ventures, and other companies participated in the round. 

This investment allows Gitcoin to be spun off from ConsenSys for capitalization and further decentralization. 

Gitcoin, which founded in 2017 by Kevin Owocki, is a platform that connects developers with open-source projects in the Ethereum field. It organizes various grants, hackathons, and project incubators, and has coordinated more than $18 million in funds allocation.
