Maker Foundation announced today that it has refunded 84,000 MKR from the development fund to MakerDAO. 

These MKR tokens have been transferred to the DSPause agent smart contract of the governance module, and are currently under the control of the Maker governance community. The foundation stated that returning MKR is a key step towards further decentralization of protocol.
