Block.one, the software company behind EOSIO open-source software, today announced the establishment of a subsidiary, Bullish Global, to operate as an independent entity under Block.one.

Bullish Global focuses on launching a new blockchain-based cryptocurrency exchange Bullish in 2021, aiming to integrate the performance provided by the central order book technology, user privacy/compliance, decentralized finance (DeFi) market architecture, and the advantages of vertically integrated users. 

After Block.one initially injected $100 million, 164,000 BTC, and 20 million EOS, and completed another $300 million strategic investment, Bullish Global's capital and cash assets have exceeded $10 billion. 

Leading investors include Peter Thiel's Thiel Capital and Founders Fund, Alan Howard, Louis Bacon, Hong Kong billionaire Richard Li, Christian Angermayer, Galaxy Digital, and global investment bank Nomura

In addition to participating in Bullish Global's latest round of financing, Peter Thiel, Alan Howard, Li Zekai and Christian Angermayer will also serve as senior advisors to the company.
