PayPal Will Allow Users To Withdraw Cryptocurrencies To Third-Party Wallets

Jose Fernandez da Ponte, head of blockchain and crypto at PayPal, said at the Coindesk 2021 Consensus that the company will increase support for third-party wallet transfers.

It means that PayPal and Venmo users can send Bitcoin to the platform users, as well as withdraw to platforms such as Coinbase and external cryptocurrency wallets. 

Fernandez da Ponte declined to provide further details, such as when the company will launch the new service or how it will handle blockchain transactions created when users send and receive cryptos. 

It is not clear when the withdrawal function will be released, the company releases new development results every two months on average.
