The data compiled by The Block shows that in May, the adjusted on-chain trading volume and the mining revenue of Ethereum hit record highs. 

Among them, the adjusted on-chain volume surged to $666 billion, an increase of 92.7% from April. The miners saw their revenue reached $2.35 billion, an increase of 42.4% from April. 

Besides, the revenue from Ethereum's transaction fees exceeded $1 billion for the first time in May, an increase of 43.9% from April. 

Ethereum's on-chain trading volume surpassed Bitcoin for the first time, as the one from Bitcoin fell by 8.9% from April's $446.9 billion to $407.3 billion.
