BitMEX, a cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, today announced that Pittsburgh-based Astrobotic Technology will send its first commercial lander with 1 BTC to the moon in the fourth quarter.

BitMEX will mint a physical Bitcoin with a tamper-proof hologram, similar to the Casascius coin in 2013. The coin will save a Bitcoin address in a publicly released address, and display the BitMEX logo, task name, minting date, and the Bitcoin price at the time of minting.
