According to CNBC, during the Piper Sandler Global Exchange and Fintech Conference on Wednesday, Thomas Peterffy, Interactive Brokers CEO said that the company will provide cryptocurrency trading services this summer. 

He said: "Customers certainly are asking for [crypto trading] and we expect to be ready to offer it to them by the end of the summer." 

Public data shows that as of the first quarter of 2021, Interactive Brokers has 1.33 million customer accounts and $330.6 billion in customer assets.
