The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced that it has reached a partnership with Canada’s leading crypto platform Bitbuy, which will allow the league to pay part of the players’ salaries in Bitcoin. 

Bitbuy is Canada's most trusted cryptocurrency platform, with more than 300,000 Canadian users. As part of the partnership, it will sign up as a sponsor of the CEBL.

This type of cooperation will be the first of any professional sports league in North America. Bitbuy will work with CEBL to convert players’ Canadian dollar salaries into BTC and then transfer them to personal cryptocurrency wallets.
