According to Coindesk, Wyoming Deposit & Transfer (WDT) has obtained a bank charter issued by the Wyoming Department of Banking, allowing commercial banking and custody services for tokenized assets and digital currencies.
The regulatory framework of digital asset banking activities is provided by the Wyoming Special Purpose Deposit Institution (SPDI) charter.
WDT stated that it is the third crypto custody-related license granted by the state of Wyoming after Kraken and Avanti Bank.
