The digital asset market Bakkt announced the launch of the Visa debit card for crypto on Tuesday.
The debit card is issued by FDIC member Sutton Bank under the license of Visa USA Inc. It allows customers to use their Bitcoin or cash to buy daily goods and services online or in stores that accept Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the service scope covers hundreds of thousands of retailers and grocery stores.
Before the debit card was released, Bakkt launched a digital asset payment application in March, allowing customers to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to make payments.
