The Metropolitan Police of the United Kingdom announced on Thursday that it had seized 114 million pounds (approximately $158 million) in cryptocurrency as part of an ongoing criminal investigation. 

This is the largest cryptocurrency seizure in the UK, and it is reported to be one of the largest seizures in the world. 

The Metropolitan Police stated that the operation was carried out by professional detectives of the Metropolitan Economic Crime Command based on intelligence o illegal asset transfer, and the investigation is still continuing.
