Bitmain and MicroBT, two of the largest mining equipment manufacturers, are racing to release their top-of-the-line machines before Bitcoin’s halving event which is less than three months away.

On Thursday, Bitmain, Beijing-based mining giant, launched its latest AntMiner S19 and S19 Pro models, boasting computing power as high as 110 terahashes per second (TH/s) and an energy cost of 29.5 watts per terahash.

The two new models would be the most profitable bitcoin mining devices if made available, according to the f2pool’s  miner profitability index.

MicroBT, which just launched their latest model in December, has already begun taking pre-orders for the latest and most powerful product line.
