The Chicago-based crypto startup Strike announced on Thursday that it allows its US customers to buy and sell BTC at almost zero fees.

In the 48 states and other US jurisdictions where it has operations, Strike only charges about 0.3% of Bitcoin transaction fees, which has no charge other than the market spread.

In contrast, the popular trading platform Coinbase charges a commission as high as 3.99%, depending on the payment method and the size of the transaction.

The service will start from the waiting list and then open to the public in the coming weeks. Strike expects that in the next few months, as transaction volume grows, fees will drop to 0.1%.
