According to local media Tasnim News Agency, the Iranian parliament has drafted a new bill that will establish new rules for the use of cryptocurrency, including a plan to develop a national cryptocurrency.

The bill stated that it is forbidden to use non-state-issued cryptocurrency for payment in Iranian or domestic transaction systems, with the exception of a national cryptocurrency.

According to the bill, Iran plans to issue its own cryptocurrency, which will be regulated by The Central Bank of Iran. 

The Ministry of Industry, Minerals and Trade will responsible for issuing licenses required to establish crypto mining centers.
