According to Daily Mail, TikTok, a popular video-sharing app in North America, has banned its users from promoting cryptocurrency.

The app’s updated brand content policy also bans a large number of other financial services and products, such as loans, credit cards, foreign exchange transactions, buy-and-pay products, etc.

The move is aimed at preventing inappropriate high-risk investments and fraudulent activities caused by social media promotion.

The company has also improved its user security methods by implementing a system that can automatically delete any videos that violate its rules.
