According to the data obtained by The Block from blockchain analysis company Chainalysis, as of July 13, 2021, the cryptocurrency received by ransomware has exceeded $208 million. 

In 2020, the company’s statistics on ransomware receipts is $416.4 million. Although the total so far this year is about half of 2020, Chainalysis's Madeleine Kennedy states that the total amount in 2021 may be greater than in 2020 due to data lag.
