The London hard fork, the latest and most important update of the Ethereum network, was successfully activated on Thursday.

This upgrade will solve many problems of the current Ethereum network, but at the same time, it also suffered criticisms inevitably.

The arrival of EIP 1559 has injected a booster for the Ethereum network. In the first two hours after the update was completed, the Base Fee of the Ethereum network was 60 GWei, and nearly 500 ETH were burned, 1482 ETH are burned after nearly 5 hours.

Ethereum transaction volume has skyrocketed too, and the Base Fee has rapidly risen to 264.1 GWei. More than 10 Ethereum are burned every minute.

The price of Ethereum has also risen along with it. According to the Bitpush terminal data, the price of Ethereum once broke through $2,800, with an intraday increase of 4%.
