According to a report from U.today, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) lawyer Jorge Tenreiro has filed an urgent motion to obtain a court order that will force Ripple to hand over employees’ Slack communication records.

According to the SEC, there are more than 1 million records that need to be searched. The SEC claimed that the defendant Ripple agreed to search for all messages at the beginning of the forensic phase, but only provided 1,468 messages and refused to provide access to the rest of the chat. The SEC stated that the Slack message it managed to obtain contained some "critical" and "unique" evidence.
