A public document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 16 shows that Tiger Global Management, an investment giant with $79 billion in assets under management, holds 2,625,294 COIN shares, which are currently valued at approximately $679 million. 

At the time of writing, COIN was trading at $259, a 12% drop from the recent high of $293 reached on August 11. 

Tiger Global Management led Coinbase's $300 million Series E financing in October 2018. Bitpush previously reported that the chip giant Intel disclosed that it has purchased COIN shares with a worth of $763,000.
