According to an exclusive report by The Hollywood Reporter, Hollywood’s top agency UTA (United Talent Agency, Inc.) has signed contracts with the popular NFT projects CryptoPunks, Meebits, and Autoglyphs.
The team behind CryptoPunks Larva Labs launched Autoglyphs in 2019 and Meebits earlier this year.
UTA will represent Larva Labs' NFT projects for use in movies, TV, video games, and publishing projects.
Cryptopunks may be the first NFT to jump from crypto native IP to a more traditional form of media. Lesley Silverman, head of UTA Digital Assets, said: "I would say that it is one of the first opportunities for an IP that fully originated in crypto-world to enter a broader entertainment space, and they earned it. They really have hit the zeitgeist in a tremendous way."
UTA was founded in 1991 by the merger of Bauer-Benedek Agency and Lead Artists Agency. It is a rising star among the top five brokerage companies in Hollywood.
