Bakkt Holdings, LLC, a digital asset platform, conducted a survey on how Americans perceive cryptocurrencies and other digital assets. According to a survey of more than 2,000 U.S. consumers, nearly half (48%) of American consumers reported that they have purchased cryptos in the first half of this year.

Among the respondents who have not yet invested in cryptocurrency, 32% of respondents are interested in buying in the next six months but said that “too much volatility” is the main obstacle, while 24% of respondents don’t know where to start buying. 

For those who have already bought cryptocurrency, 58% think it is a long-term investment, while 43% admit that they plan to sell when they can make a short-term profit. 

The purchasing power of cryptocurrency is outstanding, 24% of people said they plan to use it for online purchases, and 12% said they plan to use it for face-to-face purchases.
