Solana has been offline and not producing blocks for nearly 12 hours as of this writing, and while a fix appears to be imminent. Solana Mainnet Beta encountered a large increase in transaction load which peaked at 400,000 TPS. These transactions flooded the transaction processing queue, and lack of prioritization of network-critical messaging caused the network to start forking. According to data from the Solana browser Solana Beach, 92.3% of the nodes have been upgraded to version 1.6.24.
