The Fed said on Wednesday that if the economic recovery continues as expected, the pace of asset purchases may slow down soon. Fed Chairman Powell said that the Fed’s measures will ensure that monetary policy supports the economy until the recovery is complete. For the rest of this year, the economic recovery may continue to maintain a strong pace, so the action to taper bond purchases may soon be assured.

In addition, according to the Summary of Economic Forecasts (SEP) released on Wednesday, Fed officials also raised inflation expectations and moved the rise year of interest rate from 2023 to 2022.
