According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Public.com, an investment platform operated by Public Holdings Inc., is launching crypto trading services.

Starting from October 7th, the new features will be gradually rolled out to most Public.com users, who will be able to buy, sell and hold 10 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and ADA.

The company said that New York residents are currently not eligible to trade digital assets because its service partners have not yet obtained the required licenses in the state.

Public.com was launched in 2019 to provide individual investors with the opportunity to trade US stocks and ETFs. It has more than 1 million users, 90% of which are first-time investors. In February, the company announced that it had raised funds, pushing its valuation to $1.2 billion.
