Wormhole, a cross-chain interoperability protocol, announced the launch of support for Binance Smart Chain (BSC), which means that users will be able to seamlessly connect tokens and NFTs between the Ethereum, Solana, and BSC ecosystems.

Wormhole is an Ethereum cross-chain bridge launched by Solana in October 2020. It is protected by the Guardian node network and allows users to convert ERC20 tokens into Solana's SPL tokens. Wormhole cross-chain messages can contain arbitrary data, which allows developers to use Wormhole to build applications, including but not limited to asset transfers, oracle data, governance decisions, NFTs, and more.

Wormhole launched the mainnet beta in February 2021 and the mainnet was launched in August.
