According to Coindesk, Dubai's Sheikh Hamdan bin Ahmed Al Maktoum family office launched a $100 million blockchain investment fund. The office stated that it will work closely with commercial companies and regulators to drive 50% of government transactions in the region on the blockchain by 2021.

The fund will work with the ECN Launchpad platform. CEO Ahmad Aljariri said in a press release: "This is a key milestone, we hope that through our knowledge and capital, we can bring great talent and technology to the region through Dubai. ECN is an important platform that can multiply the impact of our reach."
