A 200-employee Ukrainian Bitcoin (BTC) trading scam which managed to net around $70 million in 2019, was outed by a whistleblower, according to a March 1 report from Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter.  

The scam which reportedly targeted investors based in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom through the use of false news article that they advertised on Facebook and mobile game platforms. The stories featured fake interviews with celebrities claiming that they were making a killing by investing in crypto. The scam used celebrities such as Gordon Ramsey, Hugh Jackman and Martin Lewis.
