Social media giant Facebook has rebranded to Meta. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced at the Facebook Connect 2021 on Thursday.

Facebook's official website has been completely revised, and the rebranding heralds Facebook's growing ambition outside of social media--Metaverse

Zuckerberg said: "Our hope is that within the next decade, the metaverse will reach a billion people, host hundreds of billions of dollars of digital commerce, and support jobs for millions of creators and developers."

Part of Facebook's metaverse vision may support NFT, which are representatives of digital objects, artworks, etc., supported by blockchain.

Vishal Shah, head of product at Facebook Meta Universe, said: "This will make it easier for people to sell Limited Edition digital objects like NFTs, display them in their digital spaces and even resell them to the next person securely."
