The mayor-elect of New York City, Eric Adams, responded positively to this. He announced on Twitter that he would receive the first three paychecks through Bitcoin and reiterated that New York City will become the center of the cryptocurrency industry and other fast-growing innovative industries.

New York City has always been strict with crypto companies, and the arrival of a new mayor who loves crypto may make supervision more friendly.
