Credit card giant MasterCard has partnered with three different companies in Asia and Australia to provide digital currency payment cards to its customers. The three companies are: Bitkub, a crypto exchange in Thailand; crypto finance firm Amber Group, and Australian trading platform Coinjar.

Although the payment cards being issued will not allow people to utilize crypto directly for payments, they can load digital currencies from their online wallets onto the cards. After using these products, the digital currency unit will eventually be converted into fiat to complete the transaction. Mastercard is expanding the possibilities of cryptocurrency, giving people greater choice and flexibility in payment methods.
