Galaxy Digital launched the Bloomberg Galaxy Solana index on Monday with the collaboration from Bloomberg. The index has gone live on Bloomberg terminals under ticker SOL, which can be used by nearly 400,000 Bloomberg users worldwide.
Galaxy Digital stated that the launch of the index is significant because it is Solana's first institutional-level pricing source, which will allow Solana-based products to be registered in certain jurisdictions that require global pricing sources.
Since the start of cooperation in 2018, Bloomberg and Galaxy have launched five crypto indices, namely: Bloomberg Galaxy Bitcoin Index; Bloomberg Galaxy Ethereum Index; Bloomberg Galaxy Cryptocurrency Index; Bloomberg Galaxy DeFi Index; Bloomberg Galaxy Solana Index.
