According to Coindesk, people familiar with the matter revealed that the global banking giant Citigroup is hiring 100 employees to expand its blockchain and digital asset division. 

Citi will appoint Puneet Singhvi as the head of digital assets for the Citi Institutional Clients Group (ICG). Singhvi recently served as the head of blockchain and digital assets for Citi's global marketing team. 

The company also intends to recruit more talents in the next few months to hold various positions in the ICG business, functions, and ICG business development team.

Citi stated in an email statement: "We are focused on assessing the needs of our clients in the digital asset space. Prior to offering any products and services, we are studying these markets, as well as the evolving regulatory landscape and associated risks in order to meet our own regulatory frameworks and supervisory expectations".
