Regal, a subsidiary of Cineworld and the world's second-largest cinema chain after AMC, announced that it has partnered with the digital payment network Flexa to unlock digital currency payments for its 514 cinemas across the United States.
Regal customers can use dozens of digital currencies to purchase movie tickets, coupons and other fees, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), USDC, Dai, GUSD, LINK, ATOM, BAT, etc.
Regal also plans to add rewards to its Regal Crown Club loyalty program members and introduce more crypto payment options in the future, possibly including the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
