Chainlink Labs Hires Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt As Strategic Advisor

Chainlink Labs, the organization behind the oracle network Chainlink, announced on Tuesday that Google’s former CEO Eric Schmidt has signed the company as a Strategic Advisor. 

Schmidt served as Google’s CEO and chairman from 2001 to 2011, he has also served as a technical consultant for Alphabet from 2018 to 2020. 

In his new position, Schmidt will evaluate Chainlink's performance, research and provide guidance to discover possible advantages, disadvantages and opportunities in Chainlink's operations. 

Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov said: “Blockchain networks and Chainlink oracles are at a crucial inflection point in terms of growth and adoption. Eric's experience and insights around building global software platforms for next-generation innovation will be invaluable as we help developers and institutions usher in a new age of economic fairness and transparency."
