The U.K. Financial Conduct Authority granted Fidelity Digital Assets registration for its digital asset custody and trade execution services, Fidelity announced today. FCA has granted approval to a number of firms, including Kraken, two Gemini entities, Digivault and Mode, among others.

According to previous reports, Fidelity Clearing Canada, a Fidelity subsidiary, has been approved to become Canada's first institutional Bitcoin custodian to cater to institutional clients such as pension funds, portfolio managers, mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETF) seeking direct access to Bitcoin.
