EY, ConsenSys and Microsoft, three giants in the enterprise blockchain space, have developed a new means of using public ethereum mainnet to connect firms’ internal systems for resource planning.

The new protocol has been dubbed the Baseline Protocol. Through this method Ethereum will be used as a sort of message-orientated middleware, instead of a source‑of‑truth data repository.
