El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele announced on Friday that El Salvador bought 410 BTC for $15 million, he said: "Some guys are selling really cheap."
Bloomberg reported earlier this month that Nayib Bukele had purchased at least 1,391 BTC for the country. According to this figure, as of January 21, El Salvador’s BTC holdings had exceeded 1,800, at a cost of about $86 million.
Bitpush Terminal data shows that Bitcoin is currently trading below $36,500, a 24-hour decrease of 11%, so El Salvador's BTC holding is still at a loss.
