Lloyd Blankfein, the former Goldman Sachs CEO, told CNBC that he wants to be rational when it comes to cryptocurrencies, and saw the crypto is "happening."
Blankfein believes that despite the current market correction, cryptocurrency has formed a huge ecosystem, saying: "It’s lost a lot of value, but at a point where it’s trillions of dollars of value contributing to it and whole ecosystems are growing around it. Of course, we have the benefits of instantaneous transfer and reduction of credit risk and all the benefits of blockchain."
Blankfein's attitude towards crypto is evolving, having said in a CNBC interview that the government may boycott Bitcoin if it is used more for illicit means.
According to the data from Bitpush Terminal, shows that in the past 24 hours, the price of Bitcoin fell as low as $3.3K, the lowest level since July 2021, at the time of writing, it rebounded slightly to $35K.
